We are still getting our groceries delivered via instacart/shipt. Things we can't get delivered we've been doing curbside pickup where available. Asthmatic kid in the house so we're still staying home out of an abundance of caution. Seems like the loudest people aren't wearing masks around here and my anxiety can't handle being around them quite yet. I'll be glad to be done paying the premium and not being able to make split second decisions about the veggies we want. Maybe June...

We are still going to the store about every 10 days. Based on this article, it feels very low-risk for shoppers. Not nearly as enjoyable as it used to be though!

MMM. I want that cheesy bacon pasta.

Grocery shopping:

We do Baldor's sometimes (if you're NY metro area, you can do this - it's a 250 minimum and because they are a restaurant supplier there are lots of ridiculous bulk items which you have to ignore).

We get most of our protein and a lot of our veg from our farmer's market - you order in advance - pay in advance - reserve a shopping time. It's not worry free but you don't have to wait in line to get in, there's more space outside than in a store and your stuff is packed and ready to go.

I do occasional trips to a tiny grocer and our convenience store. No one is ever in the convenience store and I can get milk, eggs, butter, flour, sugar, chickpeas PLUS treat things (I bought choco tacos last week for us).

And finally, we use target for some cupboard items - only things they ship, not Shipt or anything.

It's SO stressful to go out. And it's stressful cooking around the holes and trying to make sure you don't run out before the next stock up.

I so feel you RE grocery shopping. It used to give me such joy, now it's so exhausting... wearing the mask, watching everything you touch, watching and staying away from others as much as possible, buying much more than usual to last longer.... So much mental energy!
