I just learned that Substack lets me start nifty discussion threads! I’m going to open one weekly, to give you all a place to talk about (and get help with) any challenges you’re facing, things you’re finding helpful, things you love, things you’d like to see more/less of… So, how’s it going? I’m having leftover frittata for lunch today, which makes me happy.
I'm glad you liked it! My husband had the full version, I left mine without ricotta (eww, too creamy), and my adorable teenage son had his usual: Fresh mozz and olives, no sauce. Everybody wins.
I didn't get an email either. I'm counting everything so far as a win, because my kid TRIED THE SOUP before she decided she didn't like it! wooo! we're having the frittata tonight, and we had the pizza last night (Kid didn't want any vegetables, but I think the adults were happy enough with it to do it again, altho we used a prepared crust - needed more time or a higher temperature, contrary to the crust instructions.) Looking forward to the nachos tomorrow :)
Thanks, Pam! Since it's just me and my husband (kid wouldn't touch that soup), we've got a ton left, too. But it's so good, I'm delighted! Freezing a stash as well.
I didn’t give my kiddos a choice. Told them to add more cheese or even sour cream is they needed. Each ate a different amount but my pickiest eater had 2nds!
That's amazing! At 13 my guy is beyond being forced to do much of anything ;). And even when he was little, he literally never acknowledged something was good after a "no thank you" bite. It's all about power here, I think.
Our garbage disposal is on the fritz so we went out to eat last night so having soup tonight and pizza Saturday. Since it'll be lazy Saturday dinner I'm going to do KAF's pizza crust that's recipe of the year. YUM
We do pick up composting already! I just couldn’t use the sink at all- so even rinsing or running the dishwasher would have been a pain and potentially a mess. All good today so back on track.
No email from you yesterday.
Just wanted to let you know that I DID get the email, and have been getting them every week, so I'm not sure where the email delivery issue lies.
I didn’t see an email. I really enjoyed the pizza, tho most of my family turned up their nose(s). More for me!! :)

OMG Kate that's awesome! My kid almost never tries anything.
I didn’t get an email either.
So far, week is going well! We are eating at basketball game Friday so making the nachos Saturday. Had plenty of soup to freeze yesterday.
